Buddhist Tour With India & Nepal

• Day 1 : Arrival at Delhi and relax at the hotel

  On your arrival at Delhi airport, our representative will transfer you to air-conditioned car as you will leave for your hotel. Rest of the day will be at leisure or you can carry out independent activities like visiting any of the colorful markets in Delhi. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

• Day 2 : Delhi sightseeing and overnight train to Gaya

  After having breakfast at the hotel, you will depart to enjoy the full day sightseeing in Delhi that begins with historic Old Delhi. You will visit Red Fort (Lal Qila), a massive red sandstone monument that was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Then sightseeing continues to Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. Later visit Qutub Minar, second tallest minar (tower) in India. After this, you will visit sights in New Delhi that includes Humayun’s Tomb, first garden tomb of India that was commissioned by Hamida Banu Begum Humayun’s wife and designed by Mirak Mirza a Persian architect in the year in 1562. Then visit Parliament house, a building comprising of library, many committee rooms and houses ministerial offices. Later you will be dropped at Delhi railway station to board your overnight train to Gaya.

• Day 3 : Delhi – Lucknow

  Have breakfast and then you will be dropped at Delhi airport to board your flight to Lucknow. On arrival, check in your hotel for short relaxation. Later you will visit Bara & Chhota Imambara, Rumi Darwaza and other historical monuments. On completion of sightseeing, return to hotel for overnight stay.

• Day 4 : Lucknow- Sravasti

  Have breakfast at the hotel and then drive to Sravasti. On arrival at this place, you will check in at your hotel. This is the childhood home of Gautam Buddha. Here he have performed many miracles, and levitated. During the monsoon, he used to stay at the Jetavana monastery on the outskirts of this town. Visit Sahet Mahet and Angulimal caves. On completion of sightseeing, return to hotel for overnight stay.

• Day 5 : Sravasti – Lumbini

  After having breakfast at the hoteland then drive to Lumbini. On arrival at this place, you will check in at your hotel. Afternoon visit the birth place of Buddha, Mayadevi Temple. This place is a blessed one for its serenity and the natural beauty, purely coinciding to the perception of a place where the legend was born. On completion of sightseeing, return to hotel for overnight stay.

• Day 6 : Lumbini – Kushinagar

  Have breakfast at the hotel and drive to Kushinagar. On arrival at this place, you will check in at your hotel. You will visit Mahaparinirvana Temple & Stupa, Mukutbandhan Stupa. After completion of the sightseeing, return to your hotel for comfortable overnight stay.

• Day 7 : Kushinagar – Patna – Vaishali

  Have breakfast at the hotel and drive to Vaishali via Patna. On arrival at this place, you will check in at your hotel. The epic Ramayana tells the story of the heroic King Vishal who ruled here. After completion of the sightseeing, return to your hotel for comfortable overnight stay.

• Day 8 : Vaishali – Rajgir – Bodhgaya

  Have breakfast at the hotel and drive to Bodhgaya via Rajgir. Visit the ruins of the world’s most ancient university, Rajgir, is a very scenic place. The small hill grit town is covered with lush Green forest which adds to the beauty of the place. Rajgir was the capital of the Magadh Mahajanpad. Later you will drive to Bodhgaya and check in your hotel for comfortable overnight stay.

• Day 9 : Bodhgaya – Varanasi

  Have breakfast at the hotel and drive to Varanasi. Later embark upon sightseeing by visiting Kashi Vishwanath Temple, a main temple of Varanasi that is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The current shape of this temple was built in the year 1780 by princess of Indore, Late Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar. After this visit Assi Ghat, the southernmost Ghat in Varanasi, located at the assemblage of Assi and Ganges rivers. Then in the evening, you will visit Dasaswamedh Ghat, one of the main Ghats on the banks of river Ganges. Enjoy the evening Aarti at this ghat that attracts many devotees and tourists, who immerse earthen lamps in the holy water of river Ganges and that, gives a wonderful view at the time of sunset. On completion of sightseeing, return to the hotel for overnight stay.

• Day 10 : Varanasi – Kathmandu

  Have breakfast at the hotel and continue your sightseeing by visiting Ramnagar Fort, which was constructed by Maharaja Balwant Singh in 18th century. This fort is made up of red sandstone and remains as the ancestral home of the Maharaja of Banaras. The premises of this fort house a museum and a temple. On completion of the sightseeing, you will be dropped at Varanasi airport to board your flight to Kathmandu. After reaching this place, check in your hotel for comfortable overnight stay.

• Day 11 : Kathmandu Full Sightseeing

  After having breakfast at hotel, you will leave for full day sightseeing in Kathmandu. Visit Boudnath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, Swoyambhunath Temple and Durbar Square. On completion of the sightseeing, return to the hotel for overnight stay.

• Day 12 : Delhi departure

  After having breakfast at the hotel, you will be dropped at the Kathmandu airport to board your flight to Delhi. Continue with your international flight from Delhi to home.
